Add 6 more to Gray Rock Ranch

"CSG4 Karma" had 3... boy 10.5 lbs: boy 10 lbs: girl 7.5 lbs. (wish I could loose 28 lbs that quick) All are doing great. Then, just when I thought it would be safe to relax, I looked at the barn cam and noticed a doe "CSG4 Mariah", who I *thought* had NOT kidded yet, feeding two vigorous kids, so I go heading down there to discover that "Patches" (twin boy/girl born Saturday) kids were STEALING from Mariah **WHILE** she was trying to push out her own kids!!!!!
Poor thing thought she was feeding her kids....
So I get the thieving brats away from her, and she presents a head first
buckling. I am being generous when I say he was 4 lbs!!! lol Shortly after, a
doe who weighed in at 5.5 lbs, then another at 6.5 lbs. Poor Mariah was still
talking to the vultures who tried to suck her dry, so I separated the new mom
and her 3 "toys" so they can bond.
This is Mariah:

I have Wendy and Sun Spot left of the boers for this go-round. Then I don't have any dairy due for about 2 weeks.

I think boer kids just have a superb drive to live - and therefore eat anything that will let them. My boer kids stole from other boer does in labor, too. I've never seen that with my minis - and my alpines sure beat the snot out of them even while kidding.

Cute babies.
