Is this normal after kidding?

Mudge kidded yesterday afternoon and I wormed her with ivermectin last night. This morning, I saw that she has runny poo. Is that normal? Also, she is just sort of standing there not doing much. She'll eat if I bring her grain in my hand, but she isn't interested in going to the feeder. Last night she ate a bit and had a mixture of warm molasses water with a bit of baking soda and karo syrup in it (2 times, for a total of 32 ounces). Her babies have been nursing and she's tending to them.

With all of the talk of toxemia/ketosis/hypoglycemia (or whatever it is!) troubles folks have had this year, I just want to make sure that I'm doing what I need to do for her.

I'd at least give her some Tums. Do you have any forms of calcium drench or injectible?

If you have a health food store close by, pick up something like this:

Do you think it could be the combination of the molasses & Karo syrup? I know for bottle babies some folks put a couple drops of karo syrup in their bottles to help them go poop.

I have calcium/vitamin D tablets that I take. Could I crush one and feed it to her in a peanut butter cracker?

Runny poo usually means an unbalanced digestive system. I would take her off all grain and only give her good quality hay until her poop firms up. I'd also worm her.. Worms love to multiply when a goat is stressed.

Yes, I'd crush four of them and feed them to her. Can you get to a feed store today?

Yes, I can. I have my choice of TSC and Town and Country.

She seems much more lively now. I got her up on the stand and milked a cup of colostrum from her. There was way more available, but I wanted to leave it for the babies. The kids are mostly nursing on one side, so I milked the other. Cookie should be kidding any time now, and I suppose it's possible that she will have more than two and won't be able to feed them all. I also have several quarts of Snicket's milk frozen. Will that be ok to feed Cookie's babies if I need to?

Will she eat treats? Raisins, plums, chewable vitamin C tablets and tums. She needs calcuim and calories in her.

Also Bo-Se and a B-12 shot will help - I keep dextrose on hand too. Hope she starts eating!

I got her to eat a few peanut butter crackers laced with probios and crushed up calcium tablets. She is now munching happily on hay and has been eating alfalfa pellets. She even tussled with Cookie for a bit, so she must be feeling a bit perkier.
