I don't know what I'm going to do for the next few days for my cute baby goat fix while the site is down!

Looking like we might have our first Boer/Alpine cross babies any day now. She's due on the 18th and the buck Cabrito was getting all kinds of romantic ideas so we stuffed her in the maternity pen. I learned here that the bucks can mistake birthing hormones for the "let's make babies" hormones.

Mindy, my injured pygmy that miscarried is still hanging in there and today her vaginal prolapse seems to finally be getting better. I've been slathering her with preparation H three or four times a day. I'm starting to feel more confident that she'll be okay. Poor thing still holds her head and neck at a bit of a funny angle though. I'm hoping that as her neck heals she'll straighten out. I started massaging her neck a bit yesterday and she seems to like that so I'll keep it up.
We let out the mama Boer, Brown Sugar, and her doeling to free up the maternity pen and they are standing outside the mobile home calling us, not quite sure what to do. The baby is soooooo happy to be out running and spunking around. I will try to get some pics of her tomorrow .
Well, it's a beautiful evening here in Montana and I'm going to go enjoy it with my husband, the birthday boy.
See y'all in a few days! sniffle.....
