Walk me through...

...how to register our new kids.

I have the mother's certificates and the breeding memos. Do I need a memo for each kid? One seller gave us 3 and the doe had twins. The other seller gave us 1 and the doe had triplets.

What other paperwork do I need and where do I get it? What do I do with it once I have it?

What breed of goats and who are the dams registered with?
If these are ADGA registered goats, the dam needs to be transferred into your ownership before anything else is done (if this is not already done).
Once that is done, there needs to be a breeding memo for each breeding. So one for each litter. Each kid's herd name will be the herd name of the person who bred the sire to the dam, not your herd name. The credit goes to the person choosing the breeding. Beyond the herdname, you can use whatever name you like. I would suggest marking the box that says to send it back if the name is already taken.
You fill out the registration application as normal. When you send in the first kid resulting from the breeding, send in the breeding memo with that application. If you can do them all at once that is best. If not, I would make a copy of the breeding memo for sure. Technically the remaining kids that result from the breeding (remember when you fill out an application it indicates on there how many of what were born in that litter) don't have to have a breeding memo attached to their papers, but I would send a copy myself.

Where do I get an application, and how do we get the dam's names changed over?

I assume these are ADGA registered goats then?
If so, when you purchased the bred doe, she should have come with either a registration/recordation paper with ADGA or an application for registration/recordation with ADGA. The current owner should have filled out the bottom of the paper for her to be transferred to your ownership if she is already registered/recorded.. ADGA's papers are either blue or brown and have a special pink circle on them that disappears when breathed on or your finger placed over it. The signature of the seller is the most important part of that bottom section, without it (and your information filled in above it) the doe cannot be transferred into your ownership and the resulting kids cannot be registered/recorded with ADGA with the dam listed.
To transfer the dam(s)- You make sure that information is complete. Then print out this page. You will mark the transfer section and pay the appropriate fees [depends on when you purchased the doe(s)]. You will send their registration/recordation paper(s), that sheet and the fees to ADGA. Once those papers are returned with you listed as the owner you can move forward with registering the kid(s).
I *always* make copies of everything I send in to ADGA (or any other registry for that matter).
To register/record the kids you will then need either of the forms on this page.
You will fill them out as I outlined above. The herdname on the kids must be the herdname of the breeder (the person who bred the buck and doe together). The tattoos for the ears will be your herd tattoo numbers since the kid was born on your arm.
If you do not have a herd sequence assigned to you, I would suggest doing that as well before registering the kids.
Please ask for clarification if you need any.
You can always call the women at the office and they can walk you through what you need as well.

1. Become a member of ADGA and Pick Tattoo ID
https://adga.org/pages_adga/join_adga.php

2. Pick Herd Name
https://adga.org/pages_adga/herdname_request.php

3. Send in Signature card(s)

4. Submit Registration TRANSFERS

5. Send in request for Internet Pin Number

6. Register kids from registered animals either by mail or on the internet if you owned both animals at time of breeding.

7. If you have Breeding Memo send it in with first Application for registering kids, after that you can register the others later, as long as the first registration paper listed the number of doe and buck kids correctly.

8. Once you are a member, if you use someone elses buck for breeding, or buy a bred doe, the breeding memo can be submitted on-line by the bucks owner, then you can register the kids on-line.
