Tomorrow is looking pretty busy for me...

Tomorrow has a forecast of 61*, and I think all 3 of my does left to kid this week are going to go tomorrow.

I left for work this morning after I was sure nobody was going to kid today. I did notice that Bungie was loosing her plug. I got home around 5:20 or so, and the first thing I noticed driving up the driveway was that Bungie's udder had filled - teats full and everything. Kessa's feels firmer but it's not filled. She doesn't usually fill very much prior to kidding though. Both still have ligaments, but they feel like they're bending!

It looks like Strudel's filled as well and I managed to cop a quick feel when I was grain feeding. I wasn't able to feel ligs because she seems to be sick of me poking/prodding/copping a feel several times per day. She normally comes right up for attention. Can't blame her... I might be a TAD impatient for more kids, lol.

I'm lucky - I don't have to work if I have kids on the way. I"ll be checking periodically through the night and tomorrow.

Well, of the dairies looks like only Bungie is in labor today. She's currently in the kidding stall. Poor thing has no idea what's going on (she is a 2nd freshener... after today that is... ) and she was following me around in confusion. Lately the goats have been so sick of me poking/prodding (exchanged for ample scritches, however) that they can be hard to catch to feel ligs. She walked right up - I imagine she was asking me to make it all better, lol. Today she had a glob of YELLOW, thick discharge which I thought was weird. No bad smells though, so I'm not too worried.

As for Strudel - who knows. I can still find her ligs but they are SO bent. They've been that way since Saturday at least. Her daughter, Paisley, had hers similarly bent on Saturday and kidded on Sunday evening. Strudel is now a day over. Best I can do is keep an eye on her, lol.

Glad she freshened with no problems. Sorry you got bucks again. But at least they sound like they are nice and pretty.
