145 Days

We have finally reached 145 days on the first doe due . It has been torture seeing all the baby pictures but not having any of my own to cuddle. Everyone's butts are clipped, the pens where cleaned out and the kid pen is up. Tomorrow the kidding pens go up and then the watching begins .

Nobody looks like they are even CLOSE to doing anything. But I am ready for when they start LOL. I am hoping to have some live feed for at least some of the does kidding. It depends on how fast I can get the cameras up in the barn. There has been some extra stress because as I mentioned on a different thread we just found out today my Grandpa was diagnosed with cancer. Sure makes you stop and think about things...

Glad you will soon have babies to cuddle. They will help ease your stress with their antics.

Your right on the ball! All those little babies will help keep your spirits up too with the news about your grandpa.

Yeah I am actually surprised I am all ready for kidding to start. Normally it feels like I am 10 steps behind, but this year I am ahead of everything. I am truly thankful for that right now. I worry more for my mom, she helps me with kidding and everything when I have to work and I feel so bad with her having this extra stress with her dad in the hospital right now .

I can hardly wait for some bouncy kids running around. I know my grandpa will love hearing about all the kids being born . He has farming in his blood . I will have to bring a kid or two to see him in the hospital...I can sneak one in right?

Do you know anybody who would loan you a service animal vest?

I don't . I wish I did though. You know...I should look into how I can register my little wether as a service animal. For visiting rest homes and retirement homes that sort of thing. He is small (30+lbs) and just all full of love and just adores being pet and handled. He would be PERFECT for that sort of thing.

Anyways no action out in the barn today. No one looks even close though udders are filling up. Funny thing is the doe who is due on Sunday looks closer than the doe due on Friday. The nice thing this year unlike last year is every single doe was hand bred. So I know exactly what their due date is. Sure makes things easier than last year....plus I have no does that I am iffy on if they are bred unlike last year. I won't jinx myself though by saying how this kidding season will go .
