Goat kidding games

OK, the game is afoot.

Thursday evening one of our girls ligs look to be completely gone, she is lying around the stall panting hard and talking low. She is due the 9th so I figure well, a week early is not unheard of. I set up my "bed" on the hay bales in the barn and get ready for a long night....
But, these are goats we're dealing with ya know, by 10pm she is showing no signs of labor and looking at me like,
"What are you doing in the barn?"
As of 5AM still nothing!
I think she was just testing to see if I was ready for next week.

I will not let her get the best of me!
I will not let her get the best of me!
I will not let her get the best of me!

LOL Oh I feel your pain. Ours are due next week too (starting the 9th). Mama goat has been bagging up for weeks now, thought well maybe I was off. I have felt nothing that feels like a lig on her in several days, the other ladies seem so thick in comparison.
BLARGH
Crazy goats...

All of our goats know just how to drive us crazy I think!
Hank, I think your girl already has gotten the best of you, your sleeping in the barn right?
But that's OK cause that's where most of the rest of us would be too.

Backfourty, yes this one got the best of me the day I brought her home, and she knows it!
Her nickname is "trouble" because if anything happens, it happens to her.
It's her first kidding so I would like to be there just in case, the problem is the farm is 20 min. away from our house. We do have a cabin on the farm but it's to far away from the barn to hear anything, so it's an old spread on the hay for me.LOL
As of 10AM today she is showing no signs of labor. Her ligs are gone and her bag is full, so it looks like I won't be spending much time at the house this weekend. No computer up there so will let you know what happens when I get back .
I know, picture, pictures, pictures.
