Packgoats turn 7 this month

My 3 packgoat wethers turn 7 this month. So far they are going strong. We take them hiking at least once a week, which keeps them (and us) in pretty good shape. They love going for hikes. Here's some pics taken on hikes this winter.

Are they all Alpines, or is that last one an Ober? What a good-looking bunch of guys! I love to see wethers being put to good use!

Are they so well trained that they never need a leash or tether?
They never wander off to browse?

I loved my pack goats... sadly, last fall was their last hikes... their legs got very painful and I could not stand to watch them suffer any longer. They were at least 10 years old ea.

Thanks for all the kind responses. I'm sure sorry about your goats mpete. I'm dreading the time when my buddies are too old to go out any more. So I try to take them out and play with them as much as possible now. They don't wander off too far to browse. They stick pretty close to me. Wherever I go, they go.

I sure love them, and they have been a lot of fun. I got them from a dairy when they were 3 months old, and we've been best buddies ever since. The guy in the 1st pic is Pinto, and he's a Saanen, even tho he is sort of colorful. The guy in the last pic is Moose, and he's an Oberhasli.

Here's a pic of Apache. He's Ober x Saanen.
