Poor Trubby! She is GINORMOUS!!!!

W i d e l o a d! - Goats

Will post more pics when she is relieved of her burden. Right now, she is outside, moaning and groaning. Couldn't even get her to walk in the orchard today.

She will probably do just fine, but I don't want a repeat of last year (I was sick and missed the kidding. By the time the fourth one was born, she did not have the energy to clean him out of the sac and he died.)

Hoping for quads again. <crossing fingers> Hoping for at least 2, but preferably four doelings. Wouldn't that be something?

Yesterday.

She usually goes day 151-152, and she does seem to prefer the wee, quiet hours of the morning.

Wish I could encourage her to come walking with me. She's probably waiting for me to take another shower, just like her daughter did this morning. LOL!

Yeah. Woof!

Her first kidding was 3; every subsequent kidding has been a litter of 4. Last year's weight total was something like 37 pounds - and Trub only weighs about 160!

Which reminds me that I should go load up the syringe with CMPK.

LOL, that's definitely a wide load. When they're pregnant is always a good time to take pictures for a website.

Our wideload milk goat just had 5. Guess that means no milk for us LOL

Our poor goat when she would lay down out in the pasture and stretch out she couldn't get back up. She mostly laid up against something which kept her from going all the way over.

Mrs Whodunit - FIVE??? Oh, my! What breed is your gal? Trub has thrown quads since her second freshening (first time out was trips). If she had five, well... I'd be bringing home a LOT more milk from Emily's every week!

Just came back in from checking on the dear thing. She's out there, a big ol' puddle of pregnant goatiness, and moaning that sing-song moan they do. She laid her pretty head on my arm, and I stroked her big furry body for a while.

Gave her some hay - which she tucked into readily - and came back in after checking Airin' and her boys.

Gonna be a long night...

Shes a Nubian. Been 4 years since her last batch of kids which where triplets. She milked for 3 years then dry for about 9 months.

We are shocked to say the least and she sure is small now lol !!!!!!

Going to be a long night here too with checking on those 5 all night. Terrible timing as last night I spent visiting the powder room. Today I just plain feel ick.

Poor Trub!

She should take lessons from Mardi (who had quads last year and looks like she will again this year), as she just lays against the bale of hay so she doesn't have to get up to eat. She grunts, though, instead of singing.

Hope she goes for you soon! I hope Mardi goes for me soon too!

Pony, one of my boer girls looks just like that.
I watched her get stuck between two pine trees the other day.
She had to back up and go around. I was laughing to hard to go help her.
