When can we do something about the FDA?

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...sh-milk/print/

I want to see a breakdown of how many of this man's customers became ill in a way that the milk can be said to be responsible. Pasteurization, I believe, is absolutely necessary in factory dairy practices and in dirty unhealthy surroundings. But when you do everything to keep your stock healthy and have clean handling processes? It seems like every choice we have is being taken away, bit by bit.

In the past I am sure it saved many lives but pasteurization can be a choice now. We know how to make it as safe as possible. And the remaining risks? Well, I don't want to live in a bubble, do you?

There is nothing that we can do about the FDA, or any other government agency. They will do what they want. No matter what people say, we don't live in a free country anymore.

Uncommon as it is, all it takes is one baby or elderly person to get sickened by raw milk for former supporters to turn on anyone selling it. Pasteurization does help to prevent that. In today's society, no one is going to say that they understood they risks and took the responsibility upon themselves. They are going to look for someone to blame, and our legal system encourages and rewards it.

If it means that much to you, you can buy property where you can keep a cow or some goats. Not practical, not right and not fair, but it is an option.

The OWS people are going after the wrong folks. They should target these Gov agencies.

Issue was not pasteurization.

Issue was illegal interstate sales of milk.

Where the guys clients screwed up was creating an online site where it could be seen he was breaking the law.

We can do something about the FDA, and government in general, just as soon as our votes or the wants and needs of the actual citizens count more in this country than corporate cash.

Okay, yeah, I am shutting up now. Sorry!
