saved 3. 1 still in question

My friend has a 10+ year old alpine give triplets 2 days ago, she had to go out of town just in time for her doe to get sick. At first it was milk fever, but now it has gone into mastitis. She had 106.8 temp earlier, but with fluids and meds she is down to normal temps, but is still questionable on surviability.
However, when I was taking a lunch break from her I got another call about a nigi in labor but not progressing. I talked as much on the phone as possible, but I was on my way out there. Long story short, baby presented with a shoulder and upside-down. Ended up getting the legs out but the head was not coming, so we pushed that one back in and grabbed one from under and got him out~he's healthy! Went back in for stuck baby now that we had more room, and it was such a chore trying to get the head out with the feet. I finally got enough of a hold to be able to get the head out first ~ He had been moving during the whole "try to reposition me" , he was pretty stressed. We vigorously rubbed him for quite a long time. Finally after about 45 minutes he started holding his head up and I think he's gona be ok. Momma was pretty stressed at that point. We had been giving her Vit b, hot molasses water, CMPK and a few raisins. Momma soon popped out another healty boy. All boys were normal sized... I will try to see if the owner will send pics....

good news! mom with the mastitis temp has been down to normal for 24 hrs now! she is up eating and drinking. Its slow, but it looks positive!
The triplet boys and their mom are also doing fantastic! There owner reports that there does not seem to be any ill effects of the traumatic delivery!
I am so grateful that the owner knew something was up right away, tried calling the vet and with no response called for extra help.

OMG I keep fearing I will need to do that one day. Luckily I have not had to go in as you did. What a miraculous delivery. Your friend sure is lucky to have had you to help.
