Question Nutty question on pregnant goat

Will a female got that is pregnant will they drop more too show their hip bones more before giving birth?

My wife is out in barn can feel the baby but not sure when due to have her baby. Wife said our female goat has dropped more showing her hip bones more. Does that mean have baby soon or not? No goo but wife said she thinks our goat earlier this evening acted like very early labor but not sure. Grounds looked to be pawed some but when out feeding she don't act like any labor. Wife is ready to head for the hills.

Yes they will drop. The time between dropping and actual birth is proportionate to how tired you are, how many trips you've made to the barn to check on her, how many appointments you have that you can't reschedule, and how much hair you've torn out with the waiting.

Welp I guess my wife will be on goat watch for a long while. We do have a camera in barn but since it's rain so much it messing it up. So now have too keep going back forth in the mud, rain an cold see if any babies.Still nothing yet Wife said the goat doesn't act like in labor for now but earlier seems to been some areas in barn pawed out. Gosh Gosh guess going to be a long few days.

Watch for the Goo & make some strong coffee, sounds like your wife may need it.

My doe who kidded last week hid in odd corners and dug holes for about 24 hours, then finally started having visible contractions. Took almost another hour and a half to get to the amber goo stage. Then, things moved more quickly.
