Question Using Lute/Breeding timing???

Ok, Goat Gurus...my doe, Honey (3yr Nubian, never bred) that I still want to breed this year, was bred and then wasn't pregnant, then had an infection, was given Lute & antibiotics two weeks ago. The vet gave me another dose (3ml) of Lute to give today, which I did. So the lute should make her go into heat and then I remember the vet saying she should be allowed to go thru a normal cycle, so there is an egg, I'm assuming.
Does this sound correct? When should I take her to the breeder again?
I would LLLLOOOVVVEEE to have a baby/babies from this doe and I will be in dire need for milk come summer.
If and/or when this doe freshens, I'm going to
Your help is so appreciated.
Thanks,
Gina

You might need to use a CIDR to get a fertile cycle. Lute will bring them into heat, but they won't necessarily release an egg.

What were the antibiotics for?

The vet said vaginitis/infected uterus...she was getting 7.5 cc of LA200 every other day. Is CIDR an Rx?

You know, I am not sure on that. I haven't used CIDRs, but I believe Lonsestar Chic has. You might PM her and ask.

If she has a uterine infection the vet may need to lute her and do a uterine flush.

Pipevet.com has them and they are cheaper and you can order singles. 14 days later you want to give a shot of PG600 also available at pipevet, I believe about $8. No rx needed. I believe it is only 1 1/2cc of it and no more or they can super ovulate and end up with more babies then they can carry.
