Friday can not come soon enough

I just came in from hearing growling and fighting from the area of the steer calf. I went running out with the gun and light and ofcourse everything was quiet by the time I got down there. I think it was either dogs or coyotes down there, but the calf is ok, my goats are trembling though, which makes me think the night is not over. I get my LGD on friday. He is an intact 9 month old male Komondor. He has been raised with goats and chickens and kids and well socialized, so I am looking forward to finally meeting him.

I just can't believe how many months the coyotes have hung around. It's to the point that we "expect" to hear them every night... and they always stay just out of sight but you can hear them so close it goes through your bones

I'm sure you will feel so much better! I have two LGD's. One roams the neighborhood, so unfortunately he has to stay tied up. He doesn't realize that walking in front of a car could kill him . His barking alone though scares away predators. My female roams MY property and takes such good care of the animals.

I hope your new LGD is the perfect match for you and your animals.

I hope your new do works out perfectly. I know what you mean about coyotes though & their howling, it's almost an eerie sound.
