Our FF milked fine at the breeders for the first few months, and then when we brought her home, she started all kinds of new behaviors. All gimmicks and games to play on us newbies. Fidgeting, drifting, kicking the bucket, laying down on the job, you name it. We were firm, but not punative. Our best strategy was to be very consistent with our routine. THis helped relay that bad behavior = no treat at the end. Period.
We also had to line the far end of the milk stand with empty, rustling feed bags to keep her from drifting, and the bucket or barrier under the belly. We also never let her win. Hard as it was, (and it wasn't really as bad as I'm making it sound), we milked her out everytime. Sometimes it went straight to the chickens, but by golly, we were going to finish the job together.
Good luck
