Red face reading here worried me...

so I went down and went thru a check list with my goats...

eating..check

drinking..check

pooping..check

nice round solid seperate lil turds...CHECK!!!!

No "fish tails"..check

Everybody is their usual cute, irritating, stinky, lively selves!

Only thing has me even slightly worried is one of my 2 month old bucklings lost one of his dis-budding scabs and there is a lump in the middle while the other side is flat and dry...can he be regrowing that horn bud and if I post a pic can one of you tell?? This is NOT a scur but looks like his bud did before it was burned...he has scraped it once and it bled a little. He won't hold still for me to examne it.

I love my goats but so much can go wrong that sometimes I am just waiting for problems to develop thru my ignorance.... bee

WARNING... he may never love you again if you reburn. Sigh.

Right now it is "Lose-Lose" on the buckling..he'll hate me if I reburn and he won't have the chance to hate me if I end up having to butcher him...he is the blue-eyed boy and if I keep either it is his brother I'll keep.

I hate to say it but I take any that need re-doing to the vet. I hand them to the vet assistant and walk as far away as I can. I can't even stand to hear the screaming. The vet knows this and doesn't expect me to hold them.
I am too chicken- I just can't do it. I can be tough about other things- just not this.

If he is intended for meat I wouldn't bother reburning. It probably won't be big enough to be a problem by the time you butcher. If you were saving him for breeding, it might be worth it.
