growing my own feed.

I know this has been covered but my searching options are limited being that my pc is broke and I'm forced to be on my phone.

I'm not looking to completely due away with my buying my goats supplements. I plan to still feed baking soda loose minerals and hay when it seems necessary. But could I replace feeding them pellets? Since this isn't a huge part of a goats diet, I figured it might not be hard to replace. Also instead of feeding alfalfa pellets, could I plant alfalfa grass? Woukd I have to keep my bucks out of it so they don't get kidney stones?

This spring we are going a lot of grow our own stuff. Alfalfa, brome hay, BOSS, oats just to name a few. Besides saving some money on stuff I like to know where the feed I am putting in them is coming from.
