Test Results are back!!

I **LOVE** Bio-Tracking.. gone are the days of looking at rears & trying to *read* wrinkles We did our annual CAE tests this week (all NEG, as always)... I also had them run pregnancy tests on 16 does... 15 came back PREGNANT.. only one open (thought she was, but that's okay.. she's a sweetie and can take a year off)

SO.. with results back, I now feel confident to start updating the website... (I hate putting up a kidding schedule.. if I'm not 100% sure)...

If anyone is in the market for a HEALTHY Nubian kid.. please keep us in mind (Kidding begins on Feb 17th) our prices are VERY reasonable.. ADGA Purebred Nubians, from well-know, show & milk lines.. disbudded/tattooed/reg applications & well started on bottles,
beginning at only $125 for bucklings -- $175 for doelings

(((we did herd wide testing for G6S, this summer.... so no fear of carrier kids! esp. important if you are adding a jr. buck!!!))

susie, mo ozarks

((( okay... I must admit it.. I am a *secret* lamancha fan!!!! GASP.. something about a little almost ear-less girl or two.. running about among all the LONGGGGG ears.. well it's like icing on the cake!!! .. one of those 15 pregnant girls is a 3/4 lamancha & 1/4 nubian.. with some of the nicest/milk-y-st bloodlines there are! Rizzo is bred to Walker (the buckling born last year to my SOLID black nubian doe, Gloomy).. I so hope there is a black & white elf-earred girl born!!!

Congrats!

And to those who are into Nubians (gasp) this is a great place to shop! Unbelievably nice goats at incredible prices. Seriously.

Okay, so I'm picturing these aisles and aisles of Nubians on shelves, with GINORMOUS shopping carts, and people moving up and down the aisles, shopping for Nubians.

Pleasant music in the background, and a voice-over: "NUBIAN CITY!!! Where we sell Nubians - and that's all!"

(weird al fans will get the reference...)

Our girls are bred to a nice Nubian buck. I'm hoping Bella has at least one doeling with a Mancha voice.

Congrats Susie!

Pregnancy = only test a positive is a GOOD thing!

You are all, of course, very wrong. The best breed of goat is in fact an Alpine, duh.

Though, my boers are pretty awesome too and bring in some other blood. I have myotonic, LaMancha, and nubian blood because of those boers. My herd consists of upright ear, airplane, bell (on my boer buck) and even some LaMancha ears on my boer crosses!

One of my 50% boer does was in heat recently. Her sire is a friend's nubian buck, and I couldn't help but laugh as her lover-holler sounded JUST like my friend's nubian kids - and the breeds DO sound different, IMO, aside from individual voice differences.

Congratulations, Susie!!! What are your bloodlines? I have two Nubian bucks, and only one Nubian doe, so I could use at least one more. My LaManchas are my babies!!!!

Woohoo! Congrats!!

BTW, Honeysuckle is doing GREAT! I keep meaning to send you pictures and instead of downloading them off the camera I keep going and taking new pictures. Her growth has been amazing and her color darkened then lightened back up again. She is SO sweet and friendly! Also, just as big as my LaManchaX who is 11 months old. And she's quieter then her as well! She "talks" all the time in this sweet, quiet little whinny.

If anyone is thinking about getting a Nubian, Susie's goats are robust, beautiful, healthy, sugar-sweet girls!

I'm thinking about another nubian, I don't think my husband is going to let me this year with a new human baby coming. *sigh*
