A Buckling & A Doeling

Sorry, no pics yet. Sugar had a buckling and a doeling at 6 AM. Classic delivery. Proper presentation, no problems. They are ganging up on that massive udder as I type, doing their level best to empty it out. Both are still a little damp, but appear to be black & white; the doeling for sure! Haven't checked eye color yet.

Back out to dip navels and schmooze (and take pics).

Hooray! Congrats! So glad things went well. Black and white goats are so beautiful!

Is the doeling being retained/reserved?

I'm not really sure yet, Alice. Here's her background.

Dam is Exp Mini Mancha. Sire is purebred ND. Doeling is probably registerable, as she has small elf ears. Not sure what generation the registry(ies) would tag her as.

I have several more kiddings coming up, Feb through May.

Shoot. That means she is likely to be smaller. I love the color of the dam, but smaller isn't where my herd is headed.
