My Apologies to the Forum
I just wanted to apologize to anyone and everyone I've ever hurt their feelings on this board. I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me.
I know I tend to be a bit forward, outside the box type person, I have always been that way, try as I might it hasn't changed.
I just wanted to let the this forum know that I have always tried my best to be helpful and share information. Sometimes my best isn't received as I intended it. For that I am sorry, and wish my communication skills were better, but they are what they are. I don't mean to hurt anyone, honest.
I guess my emotions are running high right now, but I wanted to get this out of my system. I'm not looking for sympathy, just trying to explain where I'm coming from.
I wish everyone a very Happy and Healthy New Year

There are many people who impart the best information without "people computer skills." When I first joined, there was one or two I recall vividly who I thought had no sympathy for the reason I joined, a downed goat, but their info was crystal clear and sharp and when I ultimately had to let her go after a two month battle, those same people were first in line to offer their sincere condolences.
I haven't seen this lack of "people skills" thing from you, but rest assured, not too many people take stuff personally on a forum such as this. It is hard when you see someone going down the wrong road who won't listen or can't accept what you have to say; likewise it is hard to be that person who is hearing what they might not want to hear. If my point isn't well received or ignored, I just pass the thread up and hope for the best outcome.
Happy New Year!

I have always appreciated your input. Your willingness to take the time to share your knowledge with us is priceless. Some folks are a little sensitive, and get feelings hurt easily. I've interpreted your posts as sincere and caring, never condescending or negative. Thank you for all your input and the time you take to post here and answer questions!

I think you are a great person. I find personally the way you tell it like it is as a good thing. I also think its nice that you came out to say sorry to anyone who's feelings you've hurt. That's the bad thing about talking to someone who is just as passionate as you are bout something...emotion run high.

Never apologize for who you are. If sometimes people take things wrong, then they do. It's very hard to convey tone of voice on a computer screen.

HF, I think that it takes a big person to offer an apology for feelings that they may have hurt. While I believe that a lot of your input is very good, I think that the point must be made that if you come across as too abrasive, or any such thing as that, the person that you mean to help will often stop listening. This, of course, applies to ALL of us. It's way to easy to have things misunderstood.

Internet is hard to convey tone. Folks looking for help need to realize that it takes a lot of typing to explain and provide useful info. So some of life's niceties are left behind...
With that said, I was just thinking yesterday that I like your posts, Happy Farmer.
Saves me a lot of typing!

Dagnabbit, what in the world did I miss???
HF, I agree with Oat Bucket. You're fine.
I don't always agree with you, and I'll bet there are times you don't agree with me. But if we all agreed, some of us would be superfluous, wouldn't we?

Meh I have a hard time seeing a goat frozen to the ground alive but I think you were just giving them a warning and not being snarky.
Sometimes what we type does not come out well. Other times we get frustrated when people ask for advice then do not take it and then they come back on here saying " Oh the goat died". For sure I am guilty of the latter.
You give people good info and I do not think you need to apologize to the entire board for one post.

Oh, pish!
I just dug out what appears to be the thread in question. IMO, you have nothing for which to apologize. Your points are valid and sensible.

Well HP, if you're freezing goats, then you've lost me I have always found your comments to be very informational. Sometimes, there's no time to be diplomatic, just truthful. My mother is like that. When I was 14 and wanted to be in school choir SO bad, she said to me, "Sissy, the best thing you could do for any choir is not be in it." Harsh ,yes. Painful, oh yea, but I never wasted any more time dreaming about becoming a famous singer.

I've never had anyone on this forum be rude to me, and I know I ask some DUMB questions here sometimes! Everyone, including you, has been nothing but helpful.

Ditto what Becky, Minelson, Oat Bucket & some of the others have said here. I think your fine just the way you are & always very helpful. Sometimes some folks need someone to be straight to the point & I have never noticed you not having people skills.

I guess I definately hit some kind of a low there. Coming down from the holiday crafting & gift making rush & my sons wedding must have really drained me & made me extra sensitive.
I am glad to hear though that for the most part it's received as I intend it, and I hope someone will set me straight if I do get out of line.
Thanks for letting me express myself & clear the cyber waves!

Have no idea what frozen goat thread there was, but I have been known to um...be rather blunt, if people are mistreating their animals or putting them in danger.
