$200 is all they want for her? She has a very nice pedigree: lots of Ennoblements on on top and CLOSE. Her sire is Enobled. She also has a couple of fairly close Ennoblements on bottom. I know that Eggs is onne of the more prominent Boer herds.

Ennoblement requires inspection of the animal as well as other performance records.

You may find out more about it here.

Thanks a lot for the link. I am still learning and yes they only want 200. I dont know if its because its my friend and thats a friend price or not. I am a little worried only because its another mouth to feed. but like you said with all the ennoblements I was like hmm.

Eggs isnt the top bloodline, they produce a taller goat and this is what they are breeding for now http://www.naturewalkboergoats.com/

go through this link you will see the shorter goats are in fashion, I cant find a link to boxcar willie but hes a sight..

http://www.thegoatfactory.com/servle...ory=Boer+Bucks

that link can give you an idea of whats trending, I personally like the eggs and the legs.. Oh, one of the top boer bucks being used right now has a dirty little secret hes got a very low sperm count and it seems to be passing to his offsprings but I name no names, just going by what a semen collector told me.

do you have any pictures of the doe? that will tell me more about her worth than the papers, the buck mentioned above is NOT in her pedigree btw.

I haven't raised Boers for a few years so I am out of date. I would like to see what she looks like first. Then look at her dam and sire. If they have all the things you are looking for then buy her. I sure understand the concern about costs. I have been steadily down sizing my herd so I can afford to keep a few of them.
I always liked the Eggs line. It is the amount of meat on the goat that matters regardless if you are eating it, breeding it or selling the kids. I have seen some massive meat bucks that made me think of a good beef bull.
The price is reasonable you have a good friend.

CAE and CL status?

If clean in that area, sounds like a good deal - how does she look?

The friend who has her said yes... not that I don't believe her I am emailing the breeder she got her from and asking them. From what I can tell she looks good but it could be because I want her lol. I will post pictures as soon as I get home.
