About to call the vet
I think one of my does might be carrying a dead load.
She is due Jan 23, today makes day 3 of a small amount of bright yellow discharge. Hand my hands on her belly for the better part of 20 minutes and nary a movement was felt.

Just for what it's worth, I've never been able to feed kid movement.

On the advice of one of my local goat friends, I waited until she laid down and tried to feel again. Them little rascals were playing possum. Feels like she has a whole litter running around in there.
Alice, put your hand on the belly just in front of the udder and apply a bit of pressure - should be able to feel them, around a month to month and a half out, if not more.

a little bit of discharge is normal as long as there is no brown colored blood. if she has dead kids, she will let you know, shows distress and most likely doesn't want to eat.
good to hear kids are active.

Oh.......My husband would give his eyeteeth for the one one the left. He LOVES the ones with the full red head. We are waiting impatiently on kids from our full blood boer doe-solid red breed to a full blood black head. We can't wait to see what we get. Would be the best Christmas gift.
Your does are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

If, that's one big if, she is in the process of miscarrying she will have bright red blood & kids most likely would have died before. That's my only experience.
Glad to see your girls they are pretty!

Glad to hear the babies are active & all sounds like it may be just fine.
Your girls are all so pretty. I have always liked the look of the boer goats.
I have never been able to feel the babies move either Alice!

Thank you all for the compliments on my girls, I'm purty proud of my little herd.
That big girl on the left is my oldest by far, she is almost 7. We call her Gramma.

Last year I had a doe carrying trips, two of which were stillborn. I knew it days before by feeling. Once you feel a dead kid it's pretty obvious. She was in distress pre-delivery but did kid them out okay.

try to get a swap and take a sample and give it to your vet, if he cant figure it out you may have to send it to a larger lab. It could be a staph infection which you need to get cleared up before the kids are born.
