OT:Update on Bella(Great Dane)

Posted this in the pets section, but since I posted here when I got her and following updates, thought I'd post here for those interested.

Bella is now a year old. I love her more every day(if thats possible. LOL!!) My sister still has Brennan but we no longer live together. This split the sisters up, but its given us time to bond with them better. Bella is loving her more indoor time with me and is my shadow as I work outside as well. I've recently moved so she has spent much more time inside, pretty much all but a few hours every day of play time. She is napping on the floor behind me as I type. Just had a running dream full of little yelps. (After I get the yard fenced properly, she'll spend most days outside and nights inside.) She loves it. She has been on an all raw diet for months now and doing great. She continues to be great with all livestock, poultry and cats are her particular friends. Here is her typical indoor behaviour. Sorry about the poor quality of the photos, all I have at the moment is my phone camera.

She's lovely, Emily.

I lost my fawn Dane Lily at nine years old early this Fall. I miss the running dreams and her couch potato-ness and her stalwart protection of me and her territory. There is NOTHING like a Dane, and she was the best I've ever had.

May you have many, many wonderful years together.

Kathy

Nothing better than a Dane......have had them all my life & they've always been house dogs other than potty breaks & hanging out with me while I do chores.

Bella is a beautiful girl & I'm so happy shes doing so well

You guys are suppose to be telling them bed time stories!

It's funny how "we" become "their" pets...

Looks familiar

I got Trout on a whim about 2 years ago, I did NOT want a dog that big, but her previous owners were threatening to euthanize her because she didn't get along with their cat and they were afraid of her. I took her in "temporarily" expecting to find her another permenent home. Now she is here for good. The best dog I've ever had, she is one of a kind. I will NEVER find another dog like her.

Trout very much prefers sleeping on the couch for most of the day, too. She does love to get outside and run and play, but really I think she'd rather be a full-time, professional snuggler.

Aww she has gotten so big.

You moved away from the goats/dairy? Or are the animals with you? I hope you have running water now

Great pictures Emily! I love the 2nd one with the kitty snuggled right up in Bella's lap & also the one with your new LGD pup standing between her legs, looks like Bella is watching over him.
