How did you pick your screen name?

Just wondering. I think there are some imaginative people out here!
Mine is just the first letter in my first name, and the first 4 of my last.

We had just made arrangements (or was it chose the last breeder we weould buy from?? can't remember) for our last imported goats to close our herd.
They had tested clean, and my "business plan" and goals were well underway.

I was so happy it was all coming together, 3 years of researching, planning, purchasing, and screening. Easy peasy yearly monitoring was all we needed to do from thereon out.

Sometimes I regret my screen name though, especially when I'm not-so-happy. When it's real bad I'll change it to "Happy Farmer - who's not so happy right now".

I was a "strange" child and my mother used to say I had bats in my belfry, so when I was looking for my very first e-mail account (juno), it just came to me. I've used this name for all e-mail accounts and on-line forums ever since.

We have two creeks that cross on our property. You cross one going from the yard to the back field as well as crossing one within 1/2 to 1 mile, no matter which road you take to our house.

Its my name and the year I was born. Everything I wanted to use was already taken and after 30 minutes of trying different names I gave up.

All the names I tried had been used. I was deep in thought, looking out the window. One of my coonhounds was perched on the rail of the deck staring back at me. I thought "dang, I love those goofy hounds".....

Well mine is my actual name...Deborah translates to "the bee"(biblically, and my spelling was taken from the Bible) some of you may have noticed I never capitalize it.

My hubby had always called me "Booh". After we had been married for 12 years, we went through in vitro fertilization and it worked. As soon as we found out that I was pregnant, Hubby started calling me "Mammabooh".

I've never been called Dani, it's Danette, but Dani is easier. R is my last initial and 1968 is the year I was born.

I have one other screen name I regularly use and it's one of my horse's registered name, dacasodivine.

I work at a chemical plant, and was on the emergency response team for 10 years. HAZardous MATerial response, fire fighting and rope rescue. So, Hazmat. And I was born in 1954, thus the 54. I use the same or similar on other discussion boards.

Grandma and I were getting a few chickens up for Sunday dinner back when I was about 5. Grandma didn't think I could snare the last three we'd need for dinner, due to my small size, but I managed. While dragging them across the yard to the block, I broke a wing on one of the birds. I noticed and apologize to my grandma for breaking said wing and she said, "That's alright, there wasn't much one 'wing' would 'do' for the number of folks that were to be comin' over for Sunday dinner." My uncle was on his way to the outhouse when he heard this and come Sunday introduced his favorite nephew "Wingdo"... and it stuck!
