Oh I am going to kill me some goats

My neighbor just came over with two of our goats and told me that the rest are still over there. I could not tell you how embrassed I am. I could not say sorry enough lucky for me she loves goats and thought they were cute her husband I do not think so much. As me and my neighbor were dragging Red home I was thinking okay Red you are the ring leader and oh how good you would taste with some BBQ sauce. I could of killed every single one. I want to curl up in a ball and cry right now. This is the first time they have EVER done this and now I am scared they will do it again.

Lol yeah I forgot about that one. You forgot the big white dog leading the pack. Hmmm... that might work. Gotta go price it and see what we can afford. Thanks MOM for sending me a bad boy. Just kidding I do love them... I really really do.

How bad have your goats embrassed YOU.

With Donna's post about her goats embrassing her it got me wondering about everyone else's most embrassing moment dealing with their goats. So let's hear it folks. I'll start in off with this moment.

The bf and I moved from my place to his bigger 10 acre farm with my herd. ( 23 miles away) His place was just covered up with everything a goat could ever want to eat. Brambles, vines, low hanging trees you name it it was there. Well, My big red Nubian nan and her 2 month old baby girl decided they were going back from where they came and took off down the road headed to their old home. ( in the right direction I might add) Well I guess at the end of our road she lost her way because she went up on the neighbors porch and knocked on their front window peering in watching them eat lunch. Got a phone call to come and get the @#%$&* goat that just about scared the owner to death (Boy I hope he wasn't eating Jerked Goat for lunch) My head hung pretty low as the bf went to get the run away and her sidekick kid.
It's funny now but at the time in was EMBRASSING to say the least.

I would have to say the most embarrassing moment was when I had friends over and took the woman out to see the goats, and Jackson - um, I'm not sure how to put it politely. He's a buck and in rut. He took is penis in his mouth while doing a humping motion. It was very clear what he was doing.

Several years ago, my entire herd of 13 mini donkeys trotted off down the dry creek bed. I had no idea. The neighbor called and said "I got me some of the cutest li'l donkeys down here, munching on my hay."

I thought "Wow! Junior liked MY donkeys so much, he went & got some of his own!" Then I looked outside, and not a donkey to be seen. Uh-oh!

I stumbled my way down the creek bed, and got to Junior's field, and there were my donkeys, happily eating from the big round bales he had put up for the coming winter. And the 35-year-old pony was with them, too!

I didn't think to bring a rope or halter with me. D'oh! So I approached Jenny, the herd matriarch, chucked her under the chin and told her "Jenny, we have to go home now. Come on and bring the others with you." I started off towards the creek bed, looked behind me, and Lo! And behold! I had a string of 13 donkeys and one old pony following me home.

I had a nubie named Daisy Mae way back in the early 90s that traveled way up the road, went into someone's home when their kids opened the door, then jumped in bed with their Mom. The kid lead the goat back here, and told me how it had woke up his Mom early that morning. She was actually a really nice goat, and Vicky was very forgiving. She laughed about it. I'm glad we both had a load of boys so we were both pretty easy going about things that extreme.

I don't get embarrassed by goats. They are just being normal for THEM!

Four strands of hot wire won't keep goats in if they have gotten out of hot wire before. I went up to seven strands and then got electric net and cattle panels.

Donna's goats have never been behind hot wire or really any kind of fencing at all. They just are little angels that would never think about leaving there yard. If they left the yard Donna couldn't be there to carry them around on that velvet pillow she has for them. I think the drover dog drove them over to the fence or a kid on the other side was singing "red rover red rover send the goats right over and they did. Yeah that was it wasn't it Dee.

Your neighbor lady must smell like cookies and kool-aid. That's why they like her. I'd run for cookies too. Oh wait, I don't run. Ok, I'd waddle for cookies & cool-aid

Your neighbor lady probly loves them coming over but I'm sure you'd like them to stay home! If they found their way out that time they will remember how they got out & do it again. You gotta love them though, they are just being goats.

Mine was a preschool group. Explain that one. I think the parents were more mortified than the kids. The kids thought it was funny. I warned the teacher ahead of time...
