Colorado stateFair Grand Champion Disqualified

I saw this story on the BBC so it's gone international

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/15318899

If it does turn out to be sabotage they still can't sell it which is rotten but I guess at least they will be able to breed him? I never knew there was such drama at the fair.

Wow. Wonder if they'll ever get to the bottom of this?

No, and this poor family has to suffer because of some sore loser. Fair drama is the worst kind! People can be disgusting. A family who has a track record of winning is usually at the center of the drama, and usually not by their choice.

How sad. . .I've known a lot of people to have similar things happen at shows -

It just wouldn't be in me to tamper with someone else's goat(s). How could you enjoy your win if you got it at another's expense? People just make me sick sometimes.

It says they'd notified someone the feed made their goats sick. If they notified them before the show, I think they need to find who messed with it. Honestly, with those prices, I'd have my feed under lock and key and have surveillance on my animals. They need surveillance on those barns anyway, IMO.

Sad to say this kind of crap goes on in any kind of animal showing. When Donna and I showed Sheltland Sheepdogs (shelties) we had a young dog that only needed 1 point to become champion and as we waited to go into the ring someone "dropped" a big gulp red slurpy on him. Needless to say we didn't get togo into the ring and it took him years to get over his fear of the ring. Also we have heard of a well known Doberman being poisioned at a show and he died. I wonder if P.E.T.A. has anything to do with this?
