Udder Lump

One of my Nigie does has a issue I have never seen before. She kidded twins for the first time last year. I was milking her but I dried her up in Jan. We had 2 weeks of negative temps and I could not handle it.

Her right teat area has a lump, left is fine and flat but right is like the size of a golf ball maybe a bit smaller, it is not as hard as one. It is not hot, or leaky anything, she is not acting off at all.
I was going to bred her next month, but now I am going to hold off until this is gone.

What can this be? Treatment?

Ouch. A golf ball sized lump has to be uncomfortable. Is it in the udder or the teat? Was it between your fingers? I couldn't see it in the pic through all of the hair
My goat Pickles has a lump in her teat. It started off like a string of pearls up the inside of her teat. It has grown to a lump the size of an double peanut in the shell. It doesn't seem to bother her either as long as I don't squeeze it when I milk. I had my vet check it when he came out last time. It was still a string of pearls then. He said it didn't concern him but to let him know if it got bigger.
He's coming back out Monday to do some testing and look at Loretta's tail ick.
I was thinking that maybe the lumps are milk cysts. Loretta has a few milk cysts but they're on the outside. The inside of her udder feels fine.
It will be interesting to hear what people say. If there isn't a good answer I'll tell you what my vet says Monday.

LoL yes the lump is in between my fingers, her teat is fine. That was the best picture as the others contained noses, ears and eyes of nosy nosy goats!

It is not uncomfortable, she lays on it fine, I can touch it no problem.

One if the articles I read on milk cysts sounds awful so I hope it is not one. I have squeezed her teat a bit not much and nothing comes out. She is dry, so I was not sure what was going to happen with that.

Your goat's is in her teat? Stayed there or went upwards?

It drops down into her teat as I milk.
If your girl is dry then it may not be milk cysts. The man I bought Loretta from said her bumps go away when she's dry.
When Loretta had her LA the appraiser said that milk cysts are ugly but they're no big deal. Is your doe bred? If so when is she due. I know the milk cysts get bigger from the hormones involved in producing milk. If she's in heat maybe that's what is causing it.
