Housing stall and milking stand?

I have some books that have plans for building tie stalls for goats that are 2 feet wide, and 3 foot six long, with a manger in front of it. I bring my goat in at night because of coyotes so i was thinking that stalls like that would be ok for night, but I am wondering if I could raise them up off the floor and double it up as a milking stand. Has anyone tried anything like this? It would have to be deep enough that there was no chance that she could step down at the back while tied and hang herself. Do you think it would work or am I just asking for trouble putting the floor of the stall up a foot above the ground? Thanks

Do NOT tie a goat up at night. Ever. Never.

Never leave a tied goat unsupervised.

Ok, I feel better now.

Just build a milk stand. You want it clean when you are milking, and if they've spent the night on it and peed and pooed, it's not going to be clean.

I'd never tie my goats into a stall. My goats spend the night in a open box stall (horse size 10X10), but I have modular panels that are 4 X 5 that make small stalls. The box stall can be converted into 4 smaller pens. Your milkstand would become a solid mass of poo. You don't want to milk on that.
