Little teats... Will they grow?

My almost 18 month old saanen has teats about the same size as the last joint on my thumb. She is bagging up like her half sister(both not bred yet). Her sister's teats take up my whole hand. So I after reading up and watching her get bigger and bigger I decided to just go ahead and milk her out today. The original owner had already started milking out the large doe before I got them. I figured I could check to be sure there were no lumps down deep. It was like 2 fingered milking(thumb plus 1 finger). She had about a quart. Are my girls' girls going to grow or is this as big as its going to get? I'm looking at her thinking she could borrow my breast pump if we found her the right bra to hold it on.

Most likely yes.

I've had does that had tiny teats at freshening, say less than 1" and they would have 2 or 3" teats about the middle of their lactation.

Yes, they should grow a bit.

I absolutely could not milk my mini alone in the begining, not even the 2 finger milking method...lol Bought an Udderly EZ milker.....Between letting her udder fill for 10-12 hours & stretch, & using the milker they eventually stretched out where I could hand milk.

If desperate, I bet you could use a breast pump..... I could have swore I've seen someone mention using one before.... Just can't remember who it was...

I've had does like that before. You'd better hope they grow before you have to milk her very much---I would get cramps from the two-fingered milking. I decided that the next one that showed up that small I'd just leave the kids on her. That worked for her, because she was easy to milk after they pulled on her a bit.

Ha! I use a breast pump on my doe. She too has small teats. My old Medela works great on her. Yes her teats will grow especially with next freshening. Has she been bred previously or is she a precocious milker?

Do you have kids on her? Kids keep the udder from streching and getting capacity, as well as the teats, because they are never allowed 12 hrs of milk to fill the entire udder. This can drastically alter the shape of the udder. FF teats are often small, but should get bigger with freshenings as her production and capacity increases.
