Delurking because I finally have goats :D

So, I've stalked this site for years. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions because reading about is much different than doing. I grew up with goats but just sale goats that my mom would save and rehabilitate. We'd have goats on the kitchen floor with IV fluids and everything else. Anyway, that was a while back. I'm trying to move toward smaller livestock now that I have kids. We have always had horses but apparently having kids has turned me into a wimp. So, when our geriatrics pass (they may out live us ) we'll replace them with goats.

One is a saanen and the other saanen/alpine. I just love them. The saanen/alpine is a maiden milker(never heard of it before her) so we get about a quart a day. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink We are on 23 acres but only a couple are goat fenced at the moment. We already have 2 LSGD for the horses but they have taken to the goats just fine. We hope to one day have a reasonably sustainable homestead.

Or, one could have dis-lurked.

So, if one goes back to lurking, is it:

re-lurked....?

Hmmm...I'll have to think about that. Maybe on-lurked as opposed to off-lurked.

That would take true lurkability!

Congrats on your goats!!! To me they are the most "extreme" of all livestock I have ever owned - extremely fun or extremely exasperating. Enjoy them!!
