USBGA Boer Goat Show: Spokane Interstate Fair

Here is how we did:

6-9 months Full Blood:

Copper Penny Tara: 1st and 4th GCH in the first ring
Copper Penny Sweet Avondale: 2nd and 2nd: RGCH in the the first and 2nd ring
Copper Penny Phillipa Gordon: 4th in the 2nd ring

9-12 months: Copper Penny X-Ceptional: GCH in the first ring

In Boers, there is a separate sanction for "dry" yearlings:

12-18 months:

Copper Penny Averil's Atonement: 1st ring: 2nd and RGCH 2nd ring: 1st and GCH
Copper Penny Molly Malone: 1st ring: 1st and GCH 2nd ring: 2nd and RGCH

Seniors:

Yearlings: Copper Penny Tipperary: 1st in both rings
Copper Penny Ineen Duive: 2nd in both rings
Copper Penny Erin-Go-Braugh: 3rd in both rings
2 Year olds: Copper Penny Enchanted: 1st in both rings, RGCH in both rings
Copper Penny Queen Maeve: 2nd in 1st ring, 3rd in 2nd ring (Evil goat from hell, and of course I had to show the beast!)
4 Year olds: Copper Penny Killarney: 1st in both rings, GCH in both rings - Finished!
5 year olds: Ala-ceia: 1st in 1st ring, 2nd in 2nd ring

Champion Challenge: Hill Country Aura - twice first, Supreme Doe in show. 2 points toward Elite Ennoblement (now she has 3 points - just needs one more).
Limerick: twice 2nd
Killarney: twice 3rd
Mystique: twice 4th

Group classes:

1st and 2nd Produce of dam
1st Jr. Get-of Sire
1st, 2nd, 3rd, Senior Get-of Sire
1st, 2nd, 3rd, Dam and Daughter
1st 3 Generations
1st and 2nd Best Herd
1st Breeders Herd

PERCENTAGES: Only showed one doe in the regular classes, 2 in the Champion Challenge class:

2 Year olds:
Copper Penny Ballerina: 1st ring: 2nd and RGCH 2nd ring: 1st and GCH (which finished her Ennoblement - 4 points required)
Champion Challenge: 1st Ring: Copper Penny Schnecke 1st , Copper Penny Distelfinck 3rd
2nd ring: Copper Penny Ballerina 1st, Copper Penny Schnecke 2nd, Copper Penny Distelfinck 3rd

Get-of-Sire: 1st
Produce of Dam: 1st
Best 3 Seniors: 1st
Breeders Herd: 1st

A very good show for us - and love the group classes. Really gives a chance to showcase how consistent our herd is - quality-wise. Sore but happy!

Congratulations CPK!

Your herd did very well.

I've always known you had quality goats, could tell by your posts over time. Course the reason I remember is because most posters are dairy, so I pay extra attention to the meat breeders; slightly different tactics needed.

You should be very proud, breeding for consistency takes a lot of time, energy, and a good understanding of expected outcomes of a breeding.

Very well done. I bet you are tired!

You're way beyond our level of expertise - of course, we'll never likely breed for more than our own uses - but for those of us who depend on someone like you when we need good starter stock or sires - thanks for all the time and attention toward maintaining the breed(s).
