It's ridiculus every where! Our TSC had the Stnadlee pellets before for $9.99 a bag, I'm afraid to see what there selling for now.

A local market has there Sunflower seeds for $19.99 for 25 pound bags. I couldn't believe it. I have enough for awhile but I hope they come down for the winter.

itsd 11.99 here in Ga. Believe it or not, we dont make as much profit at TSC on feed as one would think, some its not even a $1 a bag, matter of fact if we profit that much its more on the unusual side. Fuel, fertlizer, labor and plus the bad weather are drasticly effecting the board all away around. I really hope that you or anyone else thinks that for the vast majority of feed stores that we are jacking up the prices and lining our pockets.

Now, pet foods, tools and clothes, yes, we make a nice profit off of those but livestock feed is just there to help sell the stuff we make a higher profit off of but thats business.

I pay 12.99 a bag for standlee. And 28.99 for calf manna. Thankfully momma mixes her own feed so I don't have to worry about that so far.

I feel your pain Audra. We were paying $7.99 for Standlee too, but last month it jumped to $9.99.

I stopped buying BOSS ages ago......When I originally started buying it was $14.99 for 40lbs.....it steadily creeped up & is now $26.99.....

The last bag of BOSS I bought was $30. I give my girls a very small cup after milking because it is supposed to help fight worms & it is a nice treat for them after milking.

Corn (which I buy for the pigs) is $7.50 for 50# where I buy the goat feed (a small farm/feed store about 30 - 40 miles from here). I wish now I had gotten a lot more of it. I just bought 50# at TSC this afternoon and it is $10.99. The feed store refuses to sell BOSS because the price jumped so much this year. They said that if it ever gets reasonable again, then they will sell it.

UGH!!

Yeah that's at our TSC too. Last time we bought Standlee alfalfa it was $9.99 a bag (a few days ago). I'll have to go see what it is today and buy a few bags if the price hasn't jumped up yet. Sheeeeshhhh. They're going to price themselves right out of business soon.

Yep....... TSC just jumped their whole oat prices to $13.99 for 50lbs.... I can get it cheaper at any other feed store now. I'll pay $9.99 for Standlee Alfalfa pellets.....but if they jump it again, they'll loose my business & I'll buy another brand & my girls will learn to deal with it. As it is now I bought an alfalfa pellet from another store, $10.99 for 50lbs & I've mixed it with my Standlee......The girls pick the Standlee out 1st, but I don't refill the feeder until they've finished all of it.......After a few days of stubborness, they are giving in & just eating what's there.

Purina chicken & horse feeds are $3-$5 more expensive at our TSC than at the other 3 feed stores.... I talked to them about ordering pallets of feed at a discount, but on a 50 bag pallet you only get a 5% discount....other feed stores offer 10% off on pallets.

TSC used to beat our other stores on price on most everything.......but my last visit I saw rapid price hikes.....

I can get 50 lb bags of alfalfa pellets at my local co-op for 8.50 a bag. They aren't as nice and there is more dust, but at the price Standlee is climbing to, the girls are just going to have to put up with the pellets I can get closer to home.

We aren't going to be buying BOSS anymore either. I will get a bag of rice bran and top dress with it instead.
