Talking RamblinRoseRanc(h) - Enjoy Your New Girls!!

I hope I am not out of line, but RamblinRoseRanc just purchased my milking doe Snowflake (Saanen) and her doeling Flurry. Not only was it nice to finally meet some gals (Rabbit Patch came too) from the board, but also to know that an actual goat fantatic bought them and they will spoil them just as much as I did In addition, because of this board, she got all her testing paperwork and I even sent her with copper bolous (thank you Cannon Farms). My herd is still a little whiny about them being gone, but now I will have a more managable 3 fresheners next year instead of 5 and as a trucker's wife, I couldn't handle 5 milkers, the farm, my 2 children and the house all by my lonesome. So let's raise a glass of rich, sweet goat's milk to the new dairy family in TN!!

Congratulations Charaty on your new herd and remember the whole potato chip theory because when the kids come next year...well, you know how it goes.

Yup, guilty as charged

Myself, my husband Greg and Nicole spent the day visiting with HT'ers. First we tooled over to Betsyh's place and drooled over her fantabulous livestock- I swear if I could have slipped that silver hen and her babies (along with a few of her goats!) into my pocket I would have!

Then we headed to Rechellef's place and met her barnyard o' critters. Greg fell in love with one of her roos and now wants one of his own, lol. Everything she says about Latte, Mocha and crew is true- they ARE pocket pets!! They really love being with people. They also have a beautiful home, nestled in a little valley full of lush grass.

Both Snowflake and Flurry rode like champs on the way home and have settled in their paddock quite nicely. The second they see one of us coming they're at the fence, talking away They and the cats have been getting to know each other pretty well and the horses are still trying to figure out what those things ARE anyway.

Thanks again to Rechelle and her family for making this possible.

Stephanie-

Yay! Glad to hear it worked for you as well. Nothing more frustrating than having temps in the 90s and a green pool, huh?

You're welcome for 'everything' and we're REALLY enjoying the butter! We liked meeting you and the boys too. Sounds like they're a big help around the 'stead.

BTW- yup, that's THREE Ht'ers I met in four days. I'm SURE that's a record breaker.....
