First freshener - ie a first-time mother.

To freshen is the begining of lactation. Such as my Ober doe freshened 3-28 this year.

Yeah, kinda. After she kids, your doe will give a lot of milk, naturally - to feed the kids (and extra for you). As time goes on, her output begins to slowly decrease. Eventually, it will be time to dry her off a bit and breed her again to get her producing again. Freshen her up, as it were. A first freshner then, is a first time mom. I think that's the rounded explanation of the term.

Oh, now I am just thinking of other things FF could stand for... Some of them depend on if I'm pleased with my gals, and others, well...
