The new "disease" called stubborntitis and its cure (lol)
Today Red showed me the new disease of being stubborn... its called stubborntitis (at least that's what we are calling it). He has here lately been going to his knees if you grab his horns to try to move him. He would totally melt like hot wax. Well yesterday he started a new thing. If you touch his horn he falls out, and will lay there until you walk away.
He and Monkey "broken in" the house about half hour ago when I let the dogs in. Monkey is easy to get out. I can still pick her up. Red... my wonderful loving sweet lil boy (I keep telling myself that so then I might not kill him) went totally weak kneed when I put my hand on his horn. NOT GRAB just touched it. So I started to pick him up off the floor which is not easy. He is around 70 lbs if not bigger. So he instead of helping me laid all the way down and rolled back and forth on my living room floor. Snorting and snotting the whole time (picture a 2 year old in a fit). After fighting to get his hinny up I found the cure for his new disease. FRUIT LOOPS!!! One fruit loop in the mouth and it was a total cure! He jumped up and ran out the front door after his miracle cure.
So guys and girls make sure you have this cure on hand in case your goats get the stubborntits disease.

Gosh, my three year actually does that, but all I have to do is touch her arms or shoulder.

Oh he will bust in again and pull the same stunt... trust me lol. One good thing about Red is you can count on him not doing what he doesn't want to and falling out when needed.
Haha nehimama didn't catch that either

Especially if he gets treats for doing it.
;-)
You didn't cure anything-
He just taught you to give him treats when he's bad.

Oh trust me I know I didn't ''cure'' anything. but I'm not about to fight a 70 lb goat in my house. If thats the only way to get him out if he busts in then it works for me. lol

Oh yes, Minelson has some hilarious pictures of her goaties with this disease.
My Peanut has also been infected. When he doesn't want to do something, he lies down, turns into dead weight and won't make eye contact with me. If he's feeling really stubborn, he'll start to chew his cud in defiance. Then, as I'm standing there giggling and going "Pea! Get up!" he rolls over with his feet in the air and looks at me upside down.
Of course, because I'm a sucker and I get so tickled I have to give him a belly scratch, which just maintains his bad behavior.
DH says the two of us would be just terrible in a show ring

SHHHHHH! Y'all stop all this talking about stubborntits (It will forever be stubborn tits to me...Bwahahahaha!) before my boys hear you! They've yet to catch this disease, but I have a feeling it's coming. Jacob, the LaMancha wether, jumped into the van as I was unloading groceries yesterday. He made his way up to the second row of seats where he proceeded to eat the crumbs from the kiddos' carseats. Thankfully he nicely jumped out when I opened the sliding door and ordered him out. Chances are it won't always be so easy!
