Red face CL ad sent to me.....pics too.

Ok, we have this acquaintance who is a 100% know it all...

He came out Monday to get some of his stuff out of my barn (future milk room if I can get everyone's crap outta there).

Walked out with us at milking & of course was the dairy goat expert & was critiquing how horrible Sabrina's udder was & telling me he'd send me an add for a high producing doe I should buy that had a much better, easier to milk udder.... I don't argue with idiots, so I just ignored him & continued chatting with the kids...thought nothing of it until tonight when I recieved an email with the ad & the perfect udder...

Here's what I got:

http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/grd/2530313969.html

ETA- To be fair, the owner of this goat is this man's friend, so he was probably misinformed as to what a goid udder is..

Also, this guy argued for 40 minutes about the best breed of dog....swearing it was a "canine"...to which I replied all dogs are canines. This went on & on forever, until I pulled out an encyclopedia to show him "canine"..

He responds "No, not "canine".... the breed I'm refering to is a K9.... you know, the police dogs, they are bred to be black & tan for camoflage.."

LOL Apparently "K9" is a breed.....And here I foolishly thought they were GSD, Beligian Malinois ect. ect..

LOL Alice....the key word in my post was "aquaintance"

I edited & added to my 1st post....this goat belongs to one of his friends so he is biased & sorely misinformed.

Oh & heres my girls udder he was critquing.....far from perfect, but easy to milk & I'd take it over the poor gal on CL:

OMG! That is a scary pictures (the CL one, of course) The guy in charge of our 4-H goat program must be related to your "acquaintance". He know EVERYTHING about EVERY Goat that EVER walked the face of the earth. I avoid him like the plague.

Oh my girl needs to be higher up in the back (love that techincal description? lol) & her fore udder looks pocketed to me, but was told it wasn't a pocket, just not extended far enough.... But she's well attached enough that I don't have to worry about her stepping on herself life that poor doe in the CL ad, so I don't complain

Hiddemsprings- You wouldn't believe how many "experts" like this that I know..... I'm great at the nod, smile, pretend I care what they're saying while calling them a moron in my head....Once upon a time I argued with experts like this, now I don't waste the oxygen

Curious....... are the teats on the doe in the CL ad what people mean when they say "the doe has blown teats" ? Surely they weren't those over large things prior to her first freshening.... I would assume at one point they probably looked more normal?

Looks like the teats are essentially blown, BUT I am not positive - it might be an udder with a terrible medial that split the udder into halves and then the teats are the tiny things on the tips - I'm not sure.

Creamers, that is what I was wondering. Never have seen an udder just like that.
