My bucklings are (HUGH) HUGE!! pics added

Yes I will post pictures but Spot topped into triple digits - 100 lbs at 3 1/2 months and Splash is 75 lbs at 3 months.

I am so happy with all of the information that I have read on the forums to have these big robust babies this year

I am going to have to separate them from there sisters this week . . . such sadness

100 pound with tape or scale?
i don't push for growth anymore if i want breeding stock. i want solid and strong bones.
we have butchered a couple of those big kids and they had a lot of internal fat. not so healthy in my book either.

100 with a tape. I can not hold him and stand on the scale. I have not "pushed" growth - they are dam raised. But I have kept up on deworming and Cocci prevention. Spot is just a big boy. Here he is at 2 weeks old.

My Saanen doelings are almost 4 months old, and one of them is about 65 lbs- she is pretty massive for a doeling.

no way are they 100 pounds.
tape is not very accurate with kids this age. you would be suprised if you go to the vet with them and put them on the scale. they might have 60 to 70 pounds which is still a very good weight for 3 1/2 month old bucklings.

Beautiful boys, Cathy! Are they twins or trips? Both my twins from this year are huge but Nuggie's trips are normal size. Wanna trade a spotted son of Nuggie for the tan buckling?

No offense, but those do not look 100 pounds... My guess would be about 30 pounds, maybe? The tape is sometimes tricky to use.

She said the pics were 2 weeks of age.

I've had 70 lbs at 3 months and he was a big boy. 200 lbs at a year old.

I agree the tape isn't very accurate, in my experience it over guesses. I pull it real snug.

It says those pictures are from when they were 2 WEEKS old and they are 3 1/2 MONTHS old now according to the OP.
We would like to see some more recent pictures.

OK, Carl is my farm hand and I could not pick Spot up to weigh him anymore(which is why I used the tape) but Carl is 6'3" and weighs 200lbs and could pick the boys up.

This is Carl and Spot who weighed in at 102 lbs.

Splash came in at 83 lbs

and Dudley topped out at 82 lbs and turns 3 months on the 5th

Here is a picture of Spot and Dot in the same place as their 2 week old picture above.

Looking BEAUTIFUL!

By the way, that pic of Carl holding Splash made me chuckle. Looks for all the world that Splash "splashed" down the leg of Carls jeans and Carl just noticed as you snapped the pic.LOL!!

They look great. I guess some of mine might weigh a lot more than I think because I normally guesstimate pretty close, and my Saanen gal looks about the size of the 80 plus boy.
