ADGA tattoo ?

I got some papers back today from ADGA saying the expected herd tattoo **G is not tattooed on the goat.
Goat owner in section 11 must be an active member to be able to use their herd tattoo.

The last part I understand but if that person no longer has goats and doesnt need to be a member do I really have to ask them to rejoin or is there away around that? I really dont understand the expected herd tattoo part as the same number and letter is stated on both of the papers I was sent back.

Call the ADGA. I don't know what it means, either.

Ok, admittedly I had to come home sick today, been dizzy all day and still trying to find out why but anywho, their tattoo should be RE: TAB LE:A6 and A8 so for the life of me if they can not be used I cant make logic how adding another letter would change the fact the herd tattoo is no longer registered with ADGA, could you please speak slowly for this miserably pregnant woman please. At least thats what Im getting from what you are saying
I have to call them regardless but things like this bug me and I already have trouble sleeping, I know I can get it fixed but geeze I hate it when they dont spell things out.

i dont know why they do this, we bought a whole herd a couple years ago and they hadnt paid their dues in 2 or 3 years, so we went through this headach to regesterd the kids and yearlings who never had their papers sent off.

Thankfully this is a wonderful person so Im not worried about it not being fixed, I just think it bites she has to redo everything when she doesnt have any goats.

Since they are no longer a member, they can't register any goats. So ADGA will give you a letter to add to their tattoo and register it as your alternative tattoo. Everyone you talk to will use a different way of assigning the extra letter, so make sure you get the persons name and include a note when resubmitting papers. Mine have been the years letter normally.

If you think this is hard try registering a goat that was registered with ADGA on paper, sold to me pregnant, registered with AGA when the breeder submitted her paperwork for the year, denied with ADGA for non-member as breeder, had to be transfered to ADGA from AGA, retattooed, resubmitted to AGA and now has kids on the ground two years later that I need to register that were born during all this mess.
