Talking What Goats Make You Do!

I purchased my first ND's a year ago May. I bought my first big amount of hay last August (54 bales). The hay guy held 20 more in case I needed it. I did need it! I order 100 for this years needs and brought home 24 two weeks ago. And then......... a neighbor offered to cut our field for half the hay. We've been here 25 years, never had hay cut. That field was used for organic produce until 6 years ago and since then DH bush hogged it so no trees would grow up.
We figured maybe 100 bales???
Well, clearly these goats know we need to increase our herd! DH and I just finished putting in our share...303 bales....wow! I have to cancel the balance of my saved hay and I am making a deal to add at least another milker to my herd.
See the trouble goats can cause.

Oh dear, yes with that much hay you definitely need another milker. You don't want the hay to go bad.

Oh yeah, you need two more ND's. Introducing just one at a time to your existing herd means they are more likely to get picked on. At least that is how I put it to my dh.

Usually, the problem is with finding food for the animals, not the other way around!!

but then...goats are strange, yes?
