Anyone in Michigan that can help me with...

Disbudding a couple nubian kids? This will be my foray back into goats after 6 years. I stumbled across a lady that has 2 day old twins that I put a deposit on, I'm supposed to pick them up as bottle babies in 2-3 weeks - but she doesnt disbud them. Its a buckling and doeling I kinda didnt want a buck with just one doe, but I also know they need to have a buddy - if I cant find any other does, I'll just wether him I suppose. Anyway, I dont mind driving a bit if someone has the knowledge and tools to disbud for me.

Thanks in advance,
Diana

Are you far from the Lapeer area? I don't know how to dis-bud I am new to gats myself, but I did notice someone was advertising on craigslist that they disbud and trim hooves, think they were in the Lapeer area.

I hate to say this, but expect to have scurs on the buckling if he's that old when you have him disbudded. Would the breeder possibly let you pick them up for disbudding earlier?

If you can't find anyone closer, I'm located in the NW corner of Ohio, about 2.5 miles from the Michigan border and 10 miles east of the Indiana border. I'd be happy to do it for you
