Monkey story for everyone.

If everyone didn't know Monkey has been bottle raised from about 5 days old. She has been outside during the day and in at night for a while now. Well today she went to "school" like everyday and about 20 minutes ago I hear her screaming bloody murder. Thinking the worse I run outside. To see her standing there staring up at the sky at this strange wet stuff that is hitting her in the face. I started to laugh uncontrollably at the total confused look this little goat had on her face. She has never seen rain and could not figure out why she would not run away from the wet drops. She looked at me like "Umm... mom make it stop please." I picked her up and showed her where you are suppose to go when it rains. Red the whole time looked at her and me like we were total nut cases (he was safely put up in the hut). While I was walking back to the house I can hear her "talking" to the rain as she watched it fall from the sky.

It's never a dull moment here and I wouldn't trade that crazy little goat for anything. Hope everyone gets a laugh and some rain too.

A friend raises exotics for educational programs, and occasionally needs one socialized to children.... Its a sacrifice , but we let them come live with us for a month or two. Lemurs, wallabies, Coatimundi. Our kids get REAL excited when they get to play with a plain ol dog or cat!

Its been amazing... We have had the opportunity to have some animals that most people only get to see through glass at the zoo. For example, with the lemur, most people are shocked that they dont have claws-their feet are rubbery, and they feel weird when they are holding on to you!
