so tired of my farm falling apart.

Oh my this year is a bad year for me. I am still on the board and not giving up but about ready to. I so cant wait for a mini vacation after my baby is born. I so need it..

Well at first my doe got eye watery and I put triple antibiotic on her eye then it went away next day. Then my buck had eye watery and sneezing and snotty nose. I gave him bose. He got better within two days and after 2 days my buck started to act very off. My cat got sick with virus and now he is fine. Been working on my buck for a long time and he did not get any better. So I had vet to come here twice to figure out the problem. he was on antibiotic and banamine until the vet came the 2nd time. We found the problem. It was bad. THEN my daughter's lil dog somehow got something happened to his face. UGH then my buck passed away and he is better off. This morning my daughter's ND doe's eye was swollen and I looked and it looks like bug bite but she is fine.

When is it going to be end of the problem!!??

I am so sorry you are having all this trouble! Just know you are not alone. I too have contemplated giving up, I won't go into it since I've already posted but we've had a string of crappy luck here too. But I think we are just going through a difficult time and this too shall pass. I'm so sorry about your buck, that stinks that the vet couldn't save him either. Sending vibes that things turn around soon! And congrats on your impending arrival!!! My baby is ten months old now and he sure makes me feel better when I am down

Yes Blue Run Farm,

I talked to the vet today about my daughter's dog. He said he never seen like that before. I was like OH GREAT another strange going on around here. But He assure me that it is not serouis like my buck. I told him I am so sick of the problems going on like with the cat and the goats and now the dog and stuff. He said i know and it happens to me all the time when I have cattle and its good for a good while and all of sudden u get bad going on. He said it always happens every once a while. I said I know and i hate it becuz right now it is bad timing for me cuz I really need to finish home school and focus about me having a baby and stuff. BLAH! LOL I am not giving up. NO way. That is not me.

Hang tough.

I cannot begin to tell you the heartache I went through with the goats a few years back. Also, I had a stretch where everything was going wrong with EVERYONE down to the gecko. It WILL pass, then you will get complacent, and someone will do something STUPID to be sure you are still on your toes, lol.

Many hugs to you.

We've all been there. When we lost two babies not even 24 hours apart (mind you we had the goats a week then.) Then monkey went off her bottle. We were going to pack it up. Just remember you have bad days and great days. And we all are here for you in both times.

I'm so sorry for your troubles. It seems like when one of my critters gets something it's always very weird and a mystery. I hate that. (((HUGGS)))

Yes It will pass soon. It is crazy this year. But I am thankful that it is not like every day thing. WHEW. It just happens once a while more like rarely. LOL. But good news that my daughter's goat and her dog is fine. WHEW.

Is everyone on antibiotics now? I would consider just doing that for safety since it seems to be spreading. I tend to reach for antibiotics as a first treatment for animal issues other than tummy aches.

My goats are not on antibotic. My dog is. He is fine. He got wasp stung on his nose! He had bad allergic reaction from that. So he is fine now and he looks better!! We have BAD BAD case of wasp swarming in my goats which it ----ed me off. We are trying to get rid of it. So far it is not working well.
