Ive been to the horse version of this, and considering I learned a great deal and I worked for an equine vet for 7 years and have had horses my entire life its a great thing for my other Georgians to go to. By the time the classes I want to take come around Ill probably be too pregnant to join but Im going to try to make the last two.

too bad its not further north. We have so much to learn, we'd probably take a lot away.

talk to your local extension office. I know mine put it on because enough people asked for it. Actually they put on three sets of the program and they still had to turn people away.

If you don't have classes such as these nearby, you could get a goat club together and invite speakers from your nearest University. They get a 2 hour break out of their day and a free lunch, and your group gets an 1 1/2 hour talk on the topic.

That's what we do down here. In March, we had the soil/pasture/hay/forage Professor do a talk, then we had the Ruminant Nutrionalist the next month, then we had the Disease Researcher, and then...well, you get the idea.

Oh, wow! Thank you for posting this! I might just have to make the 2 hour haul out to Athens for a few of these.
