No, I think it was like $65 it was for me but we are friends, course my daughter got sick before it even was started so I missed it. He will be collecting bucks and doing a few does the same day but I guess thats pretty standard.

~sighs~ I wish one of two things:

1) The clinic were here.

2) Or that I could afford to travel there.

Theres got to be something in TX, every one seems to AI there or at least they did when I was doing boer goats. Check www.thegoatfactory.com and see if you can find a semen professional near you.

This is not for collecting, but for learning to ai your does. They also have nutrition lectures and some other goat stuff is covered. The people who come bring their own does that have been prepared before hand with cidrs to bring them into heat so they can be AIed. The owner of the does is who does the AI, but you have someone looking over your shoulder and showing you how to do it. The hands on with your own animal I think sounds good.

And she used to not charge. Don't know if she changed that or not, but in the years before it was free.

Lots of semen for sale on that site, lots of tanks and semen supplies for sale... but not a single area that might give information for clinics, for local companies that store semen and/or do AI services, or even anything like a FAQ about AI. Their CIDR link was even broke.

Maybe they have cut a lot of content out of their site since you last used them, Cannon?

find a farm that has several bucks processed and contact them or if you see the same collector advertised. Most do small classed by word of mouth not public advertising. Some one should know some one doing it, may even ask Vicky from Lonestar as she seems to know just about everyone.

That's two hours closer, yeah. And in the direction I need to go to get some other things done as well. Let me know about it, definitely.
