What do you think

I have three kids about three months old. Two out of the three (the smallest two) have developed some green (not bright green, it is closer to brown) runny poop. They were absolutely fine until we gave them access to the grassy and brush area in our meadow. They got out there and eat like little piggies so I am thinking maybe they are eating too much of the green grass, but I would like to know what you all think. They have had their coccidia (sp) prevention and have been dewormed as well. They are still eating and drinking and seem alright behavior wise, so what do you think? Thank you in advance.

You hit the nail on the head. Too much fresh browse. Make sure they get plenty hay before they go out to dine

Yup. Limit browse trips till their tummies adjust. 10 minutes first day..... gradually increase.

It's like you went from being a vegetarian to eating a steak.

Do you think that I should give them some pepto to help their bellies feel better cause they are pooping quite a bit?

k, it has been a couple of days and I have had them eating hay and a little bit of grain and eliminated the fresh browse until the poopies clear up. I have given them each pepto twice a day but they are still pooping liquid. Well, one is still having some runny poop the other one has poop that looks like liquid. Both are still right full of energy, eating, drinking, and so on so I am wondering how long it usually takes for this to clear up. Should I eliminate the grain and just have them on hay and water for a while or would that change in diet cause more problems? Also, when should I stop giving the pepto? Thanks again.

Yes. You are supposed to threat for coccidia every three weeks.

Yes I would do a 5 day round with the Di-Methox 40%. Treatment dose is 1cc per 5lbs for 5 days if using the 40% solution..
