When I gave Millie penicilin I stood over top of her, bent down and injected her in the meaty flank part of her upper thigh. Above the bend in the knee-on the backside. The needle went it very easily.

HTH!

I inject pen into the muscle as well. Hold her between your legs so she is still and put needle in back muscled part of back leg.

You really need to provide more information so as to get quicker responses and better educated guesses as to what to do.

I just don't think that sounds like anything pen G will help - at all -
Could be a lot of things - how old? how is her vision?

Aww, I hope she pulls through. I give everything SQ.

Why does the vet think Pen is the answer though?

More info might help us give you a better solution....

Keep us updated, crossing my fingers for a good outcome.

How's your little one today? Any other symptoms or info you can give might really help some folks to give you ideas on what to do for her other than the Pen or in addition too.

For sq shots I lift the skin above the shoulders. But I have no clue from the few symptoms you describe to even guess what's wrong. A temp would be most valuable.
