LOL! I was looking at her in the Birmingham list this morning too! I think I sold those people a bunch of cornsnakes two years ago~ check their website~ they had a link in the Birmingham list
http://worthitfarms.jigsy.com
She is a pretty little girl~ but their website makes a deal about how they do just about everything to ensure good health but doesn't say anything about testing.
On the other hand....If you buy her then you'll already be in alabama~ might as well make the drive up here for that Anatolian puppy you know you need! LOL!

actually if you had a female I would be interested but with the vet bills I have had the past two weeks Im kinda on the flat side of broke, trying now to figure out how I would scrape up the cash to buy her. First my new LGD pup jumped on old grouchy dog and got a bad bite on her nose, $150 later shes fine and now leaves old grumpy alone, then the Saanen buckling thought he wanted to be out, got his leg cought in the fence and gained himself a compound fracture and me a $150 vet exam and euth bill, seems like they like that number... and just got back from getting a dog spayed... Oh but would I love to get one of your pups darn skimpy, id rather have one of them than the goat...lol...
They would have to go down for me to make that drive to get her and her not being proven to breed or milk, id spend $100 more for one that was proven.

She looks copper deficient to me, look at her tail. In the picture she seems on the small side, but who can tell without a size reference.
Alpines are not my favorite as they can be stand offish.
But she is a pretty doe, reg. and a pretty good price. So if you look at her and say " Oh I really like her and want her" I say go for it, I am no help either when it comes down to it
So much for you being "done" with your herd... lol

I've seen that ad several times and been slightly tempted. But I'm sticking with Nubians.

You can send the runt home with me and Ill tell him later... The buckling loss made me sick, we where just redoing the pen and moved the dog house just close enough for him to have something to leap off of. Guess it shows when you think your goat proof they will show you wrong...
I dont see nothing unfixable, I like her length and height, I know shes a bit short for an Alpine but shes fine for my home operation.

The only non-bred yearling I ever purchased had hormone issues. She only freshened for us ONCE, and we had to use hormones to get that to happen. She never caught again.
I'd be hesitant.

I think she is a lovely little thing. I would get her. If she is a yearling NOW, and on the small side, then she probably was just too young/small during season to catch...and maybe a good thing.
I'd get her, put her on a high mineral, high protein, high fat feed and see what happened by November.
She has the lines *I* want. Why is it that everyone else is getting the REALLY good deals? ~sighs~

~sighs and hugs Cannon comfortingly~ I am so sorry, but we are NO help. We are enablers. And if you get her, I will be sitting here wanting your goat.

Hope you can work out a deal! I thought about offering to barter for her too~ but I don't have enough forage for all the animals I have now. Still want to know how your deal works out! oh~ and if he is the guy I sold those snakes too he is a pretty nice guy as I recall.

Oh shes a pretty thing! I'd grab her up
My polled Alpine is small......she wasn't raised on coccidia prevention, improper minerals & gave birth to her first kid when she was almost 9 months old (bred at 4 months by a clever Nigerian)... Milks like you wouldn't believe though & is the sweetest goat.
Let us know if your barter works out

I have not heard back from the person, and its kinda scary as shes been ran with meat goats so defiantly not something Im willing to shell out that kind of money for as hard as I would have to work to get it up. Oh and to add to my expensive week we bought a Suburban so until I sell my truck Im kinda tight.
