Can ivomec, ivomec plus, valbazen or any other parasite livestock control be used on canines?

I think one of the biggest issues is that in certain breeds of dog many worming meds have serious neurological damage associated with their use.

ivomec should not be used on collies and border collies unless they are tested and found ok to use it

Like prairiedog said ivomec shouldn't be used and if you are worming livestock with it watch them around their droppings. They are now saying numbers of dogs with the MDR1 gene are dying from eating their droppings. Also that gene is in a lot more dog breeds then what was thought in the first place. I had a vet tell me once if you have any herding breed don't even chance using ivomec. This is one thing I can actually say strongly I know lol. Raised Shelties in the past and have a collie and collie mix now. So I have studied this for years.
