He is just beautiful. I had no idea they came in different colors. What a wonderful addition to your herd.

Don't clip him! He looks even more adorable with the fuzz. I love him! Had I known I would have myself a mini donkey, let me go talk to hubby....

Thanks everyone! My husband wanted the mini-donkey and I was NOT real fond of him at first. First couple days out with the goats, he was chasing occasionally and I saw him KICK ONE! I told DH that Franklin had ONE WEEK to fit in or I was sending him back. Well, he's fitting in just fine now and he's been at our place for about 3 weeks. Had the vet out on Friday to castrate him and give him a health once-over.

Jill, Should I shave him? He does get really sweaty, which I'm not used to since I've never had anything other than goats. AND, I can totally relate to the spring heat-wave! It's been TERRIBLE up here for only being EARLY JUNE!

Oh, and I think he's a "Spotted Ass" but I'm no donkey expert so I could be completely wrong on that one. He didn't come with any registration paperwork but I do have a birth date, he's 6 months old.

Well, being from MD myself, I suggest you bring him by for say, a month or 40 or so for closer evaluation.

Only 94+ in FL? Here in middle Ga it has been 97+ pretty much every day for the past month... Thankfully the mornings are still in the high 60s low 70s...
