doeling has diarrhea

I gave my doe kids some sunflower seeds yesterday and today my Oberhasli kid has some runny poop. Like cow patties. I gave her some Kaopectate twice and it seems to be getting better. ( she LOVES it btw) Is there anything else I should be doing? Both kids ate the sunflower but only one kid is having problems.

they had both sets of CDT already. Her eyelids look fine and so do her gums. She is acting fine.

The oil probably just gave her the runs and it'll run it's course and she'll be fine.

As a side question do you have her on coccidiosis and worm prevention with Corid and Cydectin?

How much sunflower seeds? Mixed in with other feed or by themselves?

Ditto on the cocci and deworming questions.

Kris, the first time I gave my Nubian bucks BOSS they had the same reaction. Now they eat it without any problems.

I gave them a large handful for both of them. Seems this girl has a sensitive stomach compared to the Sannen kid. When I ran out of whole milk and gave her my son's 2% for a feeding the same thing happened just not as bad.

I have not yet done cocci or worming it will be done either today or tomorrow. I now have to shave her bottom.

I don't give my adult does that much BOSS at once. Just a bit mixed in with their regular feed.

Coccidia prevention should start at three weeks of age and continue every three weeks till they are six months old or so.

I wormed them today as well as backed off the milk last night. The diarrhea seems to have stopped. They also are not touching the BOSS today that was left over in their dish so I assume she realized it didn't sit well in her tummy.

I did buy goat feed today and offered them a 1/4 cup total for both of them and they won't touch it. They won't eat hay or alfalfa pellets so I am at a loss as to what to do they can't only drink milk. The person I got them from said no more milk but when I cut back to one bottle a day they scream incessantly all day and night and they still didn't eat anything else. They drink about 12 oz three times a day; 7:30 am 2 pm and 9pm. They will brows a little bit on my raspberries but other then that not much. I want them the be healthy and happy I don't care what I have to do to get there. They will not touch their goat minerals either.

BTW I will start cocci on Monday. I will have to order it because our feed store doesn't carry it.

Thanks for your help,
Kris
